1) Create Log:

Open notepad write .LOG in the first line, save the file and close it.
Open the file again, here you will see the current date and time on it.
Save again and close it. Everytime you open this file the file will have a timestamp along with text on it.
This cool notepad trick can be used to make daily notes or can be used as a diary also.
You can even press F5 to get the current date and time anywhere between the text.

2) Check the efficiency of your Antivirus using Notepad:

Open Notepad.
Paste this code in ur notepad
Code:
X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}$EICAR-STANDARD-ANTIVIRUS-TEST-FILE!$H+H*X5O!P%@AP[4\PZX54(P^)7CC)7}

now Save it with an .exe extension like testvirus.exe and scan it by ur antivirus software..
As soon as you save this file, your anti virus program will detect the file (virus) immediately and will attempt to delete it.
If this happens then your Antivirus is working properly.
If not, then its time to look for some other reliable program.

3) Lock Folders using Notepad:

Lets say you want to lock a folder named hbari in your C:\ drive , whose path is C:\hbari

Then the code should be something like this:
ren hbari hbari.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D}

hbari is your folder name.Use the name of the folder in place for hbari.
Change it to the folder you want to lock.
Save the text file as lock.bat in the same drive.
And double click on the folder.
And your folder is lock, now when you click on the folder, it will direct u to the control panel.

To unlock this locked folder:

Open another new notepad text file and type the following:
ren hbari.{21EC2020-3AEA-1069-A2DD-08002B30309D} hbari
Save the text file as key.bat in the same drive.
Here again, hbari is the name of the folder. Change it to the folder you want to unlock.
And double click on the folder.
And your folder is unlock

4)This is one of the mysterious notepad tricks we know:

According to the trick it really seems Microsoft had put some hack into the coding of notepad making the text hidden after saving it.

     Open notepad.
     Type HIDE THE HID HBARI
     Save that file.
     Close it
     Open It Again See…

Why This Happens ? : It was later known 4335 Rule. It means that if we enter four words separated by spaces, wherein the first word has 4 letters, the next
two have three letters each, and the last word has five letters. Then Notepad Automatically hides the text into unknown code.

5) You Can Never Make A folder Name CON in ur local drives, Just Try It.

* This is a nice little trick to display the name (or letter’s) of your choice in windows task-bar instead of that usual boring AM/PM sign !

Follow the instructions given below to make the changes :

   1. Go to Start.
   2. Click on Control Panel.
   3. Select Regional and Language option.
   4. Select Customize (beside English US) and open it.
   5. Go to Time tab (from the pop-up window).
   6. Change AM symbol and PM symbol from AM and PM to the desired name.
   7. Apply the changes.

After saving the changes look whether the changes have taken place or not.

If not, then follow the following steps :

   1. Go to time in task-bar.
   2. Double Click it to open Date and time property.
   3. Change the time in digital format i.e. 05:30:00 PM.
   4. Apply the changes.

Heart of Gratitude !!!

A blind boy sat on the steps of a building with a hat by his feet.
He held up a sign which said: "I am blind, please help."
There were only a few coins in the hat.

A man was walking by. He took a few coins from his pocket
and dropped them into the hat.
He then took the sign, turned it around, and wrote some words.
He put the sign back so that everyone who walked by, would see the new words.

Soon the hat began to fill up.
A lot more people were giving money to the blind boy.

That afternoon the man who had changed the sign came to see how things were.
The boy recognized his footsteps and asked,
"Were you the one who changed my sign this morning?
What did you write?"
The man said, "I only wrote the truth.
I said what you said but in a different way."

I wrote:
"Today is a Beautiful day but I cannot see it."

Both signs told people that the boy was blind.
But the first sign simply said the boy was blind.
The second sign told people that they were so lucky that they were not blind.
Should we be surprised that the second sign was more effective?

Moral of the Story:
Be thankful for what you have..
Be creative.. Be innovative..
Think differently and positively.

When life gives you a 100 reasons to Cry,
Show life that you have 1000 reasons to Smile,
Face your past without Regret.
Handle your present with Confidence.
Prepare for the Future without Fear.
Keep the faith and drop the Tear.

Don't Drink And Drive

I went to a party Mom,
I remembered what you said.
You told me not to drink, Mom,
So I drank soda instead.

I really felt proud inside, Mom,
The way you said I would.
I didn't drink and drive, Mom,
Even though the others said I should.

I know I did the right thing, Mom,
I know you are always right..
Now the party is finally ending, Mom,
As everyone is driving out of sight..

As I got into my car, Mom,
I knew I'd get home in one piece.
Because of the way you raised me,
So responsible and sweet.

I started to drive away, Mom,
But as I pulled out into the road,
The other car didn't see me, Mom,
And hit me like a load.

As I lay there on the pavement, Mom,
I hear the policeman say,
"The other guy is drunk," Mom,
And now I'm the one who will pay.

I'm lying here dying, Mom....
I wish you'd get here soon.
How could this happen to me, Mom?
My life just burst like a balloon.

There is blood all around me, Mom,
And most of it is mine.
I hear the medic say, Mom,
I'll die in a short time.

I just wanted to tell you, Mom,
I swear I didn't drink.
It was the others, Mom.
The others didn't think.

He was probably at the same party as I.
The only difference is, he drank
And I will die.

Why do people drink, Mom?
It can ruin your whole life.
I'm feeling sharp pains now.
Pains just like a knife.

The guy who hit me is walking, Mom,
And I don't think it's fair.
I'm lying here dying
And all he can do is stare.

Tell my brother not to cry, Mom.
Tell Daddy to be brave.
And when I go to heaven, Mom,
Put "GOOD BOY" on my grave..

Someone should have told him, Mom,
Not to drink and drive.
If only they had told him, Mom,
I would still be alive.

My breath is getting shorter, Mom.
I'm becoming very scared.
Please don't cry for me, Mom.
When I needed you, you were always there.

I have one last question, Mom.
Before I say good bye.
I didn't drink and drive,
So why am I the one to die?
